Frequently Asked Questions

See our most common questions about glass replacement, ADAS calibration, and pricing below.

What is the average cost of a standard windshield replacement?

A basic windshield replacement — without any advanced safety features — typically averages around $350. Keep in mind that pricing can vary depending on your vehicle’s make and model.

If your vehicle is equipped with features such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) cameras, a heads-up display (HUD), or other integrated technology, the cost can increase to $750 or more, depending on the specific features and calibration requirements.

Totally understand. Just make sure that quote includes ADAS calibration—If the quote
is substantially cheaper, they are most likely a subpar glass company and not
calibrating your vehicle or they add the cost later once they have already replaced your
glass. It’s required by ALL manufacturers for safety, will eventually cause malfunction
lights on your instrument cluster, and can cause the ADAS camera to overheat and
need to be replaced(Over $1000 in most cases). Our quote is all-in, done right the first time with no surprises.

No problem—if you have glass coverage, it may cost you little to nothing out of pocket.
I can also help verify it for you and handle the claim so it’s quick and easy. Can we get
on a quick call so I can walk you through the process?

Yes—Every manufacturer requires the ADAS camera be recalibrated once the
windshield is replaced. When a new windshield is placed in a vehicle, the pitch and yaw
of the glass will be different than the previously installed glass and even 1 degree
difference in that axis will cause the camera to read the road/vehicles improperly. The
ADAS camera controls safety features like lane assist and braking. Skipping it will
cause safety issues and even damage the camera, which isn’t covered under warranty.
We include it so everything works exactly as it should. Attached is the position
statement from the manufacturer showing where the recalibration is required. Any
company telling you that an ADAS camera does not need to be recalibrated when
replacing the windshield is not a credible or responsible business.

I hear you. We price it to include everything done correctly—glass, install, and proper
calibration. Cutting that usually means something important is skipped. I’d rather make
sure it’s done right and you don’t end up paying more later.

Install usually takes about 1–2 hours, plus calibration. We make it as quick and
convenient as possible.  We offer a FREE concierge service that can pick up your vehicle from home/office/anywhere and return to you once complete.

Yes—we offer mobile service throughout San Antonio only but we do prefer to bring your vehicle to our location and do the replacement in a controlled environment.   The best repairs are performed at one of our locations and industry wide statistics show a dramatic decrease of warranty issues with these repairs.  In fact, we rarely see an issue when repairs are completed in shop.  As an added benefit to our clients we offer concierge pick up and drop of your vehicle in the San Antonio area.  This is no additional charge and very convenient.
